Discussion Groups

In response to the growing psychological distress and its consequences, ASTF offers support groups.

By definition, a discussion group is a space where people can share their experiences and talk about common issues in a supportive environment, where the group acts as a support, a mirror in which it is possible to put one’s experiences into perspective in order to move forward.

Thus, ASTF’s doctors, psychologists, and sociologist are setting up two discussion groups and expression, in french, on the themes:

  • « Burnout and depression »
  • « Chronic and evolving illnesses ».

Each discussion group is totally confidential and aims to offer a time for exchange and elaboration Led by two ASTF professionals. They guarantee a welcoming and secure framework that respects each person’s individual experience.

Participation is voluntary and open to employees of ASTF-affiliated companies.

The group will meet twice a month at the ASTF offices:

  • on the first Wednesday of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 - Chronic and progressive illnesses.
  • and on the third Monday of the month from 2:30 to 4:30 - Burnout and depression.

« Lorsque nous mettons des mots sur les maux,
les dits maux deviennent des mots dits
et cessent d’être maudits. »

(« When we put words to our suffering,
it loses its power to harm us. »)
